Since 2000, TPC Deere Run has been the home of the annual John Deere Classic, a PGA TOUR event. The John Deere Classic has been held annually in July the week before the British Open and draws some of the PGA TOUR’s top talent. The Tournament has served as a qualifier for the Open Championship and in 2005, Sean O’Hair’s victory at TPC Deere Run earned him a spot in the British Open during his PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year season.
