QComm911 Career Opportunity - Emergency Communications Director

The State of Illinois legislature has directed that the number of Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in a county be reduced. As a result, the Cities of East Moline, Moline and Silvis and the Village of Milan have entered into a joint venture to create the Illinois Quad Cities Consolidated Dispatch Center, also known as QComm911.

Currently, the City of Silvis and the Village of Milan run individual dispatching centers. The Cities of East Moline and Moline have operated a combined dispatch center for nearly 20 years. This new consolidated dispatch center will combine services for all 4 municipalities and will be housed in the Milan Municipal Building, located at 405 East 1st Street, Milan, IL.

As part of that process, a Director’s position has been created for the new center and Moline Human Resources is coordinating the recruitment efforts.
