City of Moline raises the Illinois Bicentennial Flag

IL Bicentennial Flag

The Illinois Bicentennial will be a year-long celebration between December 3, 2017, and December 3, 2018, which will be our State’s 200th birthday. The City of Moline raised the Illinois Bicentennial Flag to kick off the year-long celebration at Browning Park located at 15th Street and 22nd Avenue.

“Our Bicentennial will showcase Illinois’ influence on American history and culture, achievement and invention, business and art.  Together, we can inspire pride in Illinois and show the world what makes this state so great,” said Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner.

Citizens can participate and celebrate in the upcoming year by visiting illinois200.com and using the hashtag #IllinoisProud.
