The purpose of the Moline Parks and Recreation Summer Internship is to broaden the experience of the selected applicant in all areas of a Parks and Recreation Department as part of a municipality. Under the supervision of the Parks Recreation Director, performs necessary job duties specific to each area of Parks and Recreation including but not limited to: parks maintenance, programming, special events, aquatic facility operations, athletics, marketing, cemeteries and athletic facility operations.
Examples of duties: oversee adult sand volleyball, coordinate and conduct several special events from start to finish, learn facility management, parks and cemetery operations, assist with athletic leagues and tournaments with other duties as assigned.
Paid position. Works varied days, nights and weekend hours.
