[ARCHIVED] Census 2020

Census (00000002)

Your response matters! When you receive an invitation from the U.S. Census Bureau, complete the simple questionnaire online, by phone, or by mail. The census informs how billions of dollars are allocated every year to health clinics, schools, affordable housing, and hundreds of other critical services and programs that make a difference in our lives every day. The census only occurs once every ten years, so don’t miss out on your chance to make a difference!

  • Starting March 12 through March 20, households will begin receiving official Census Bureau mail with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 Census.

  • The U.S. Census Bureau will accept responses online and by phone, but you can still respond by mail if you prefer.

  • Data collected can only be used for statistical purposes that help inform important decisions, including how much federal funding your community receives.

  • It is against the law for any Census Bureau employee to disclose or publish any census information that identifies an individual or business.

  • No law enforcement agency (not the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigation, or any other agency) can access or use your personal information at any time.

  • The Census Bureau will never ask for your Social Security number, bank or credit card account numbers, money or donations, or anything on behalf of a political party.
