SINGLE FAMILY REHAB/ROOF ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE!
Attention Homeowners in Moline, Silvis and East Moline!
Is your roof nearing its typical replacement age? Are you seeing signs of attic stains, leaking, curling, missing/shingles or any other kind of weather damage on your current roof? A limited number of rehab roof spots are available for single family homeowners in Moline, IL, Silvis, IL, and East Moline, IL. The Single Family Rehab with Roof (SFR-R) Program will assist income eligible homeowners with roof replacement and repair only. This includes rafters, soffits, fascia, and downspouts. Eligible homes must not need significant repairs and must not have other apparent health and safety issues in order to qualify for this component. The maximum amount per home is $16,500.
Eligible homes that need significant repairs and have other apparent health and safety issues may qualify for the Single Family Rehab (SFR) Program. This program will assist low-income and very low-income homeowners with repairs to their homes and remove health and safety hazards by repairing or replacing costly maintenance items. A very limited number of rehab spots are available for this program. The maximum amount per home is $45,000.
All properties must be an existing residential one-unit single-family property that is independent, privately owned, and non-institutional to be used as owner’s primary residence and not an income property. While the assistance to the homeowner and improving the condition of the home is of primary importance, adding to the stability of the surrounding neighborhood is also a goal of Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA).
Interested homeowners should complete a program application and submit it along with the required eligibility review documents. Applications are available online or at the Moline City Hall, Community & Economic Development Department, 619 16th Street, Moline, IL 61265. Staff will work through the applications until funds are exhausted. For any questions, please contact K.J. Whitley, Community Development Program Manager, at 309-524-2044 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
