[ARCHIVED] Home Invasion Felony

Patrol Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 3125 11th Ave C. around 9 a.m. today. Upon arrival, Officers learned suspect Bryan D. Sharpe - Date of Birth 10-11-1980, had forced entry into the home at approximately 6:30 AM. Sharpe’s girlfriend/victim had recently obtained an emergency order of protection against Sharpe and was to be at a plenary hearing at 10:00 AM this morning. Police believe it was Sharpe’s intention to prevent the victim from attending the hearing.

Upon entering the residence, Sharpe battered the victim by choking her and took the victim’s cell phone and breaking it. The victim and her children who also live at the residence were held for several hours.

The victim’s family arrived at the residence around 9:00 a.m. and observed Sharpe. The victim was able to unlock the door and the family confronted Sharpe. Sharpe battered the victim’s family and in the process injured one of the children. Sharpe fled on foot from the residence.

Sharpe is wanted for Home Invasion a class X Felony, Unlawful Restraint a class 4 Felony, Domestic Battery and Unlawful Violation of an Order of Protection both class A Misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $300,000.

Bryan Daniel Sharpe may be driving a 2003 black Honda Element with Illinois License Plate P452 967.
