At 12:32 am on Thursday, May 16, 2013, the Moline Fire Department responded to 3224 40th Street, Moline for a fire in the home.
The first fire crew arrived in five minutes and found smoke coming from the home. Fire Fighters forced entry and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes. The fire damage was confined to the kitchen where the fire originated. The cause is under investigation by Fire Department Investigators.
The single occupant of the home was alerted to the fire by the smoke detectors and exited through the window. The resident was transported to Genesis-Illini hospital by Fire Department ambulance.
