1. Renew Moline

Renew Moline is a private not for profit partnership that encourages economic development. Although not affiliated directly with the City of Moline, the two work closely to facilitate economic growth in the city. Renew is dedicated to increasing employment, visual value, and increasing cooperation between the private sector and all forms of government. Renew will provide assistance with the Downtown Master Plan as well as work on aligning city programs for potential development. For more information, please visit www.renewmoline.com. 2. Moline Centre Main Street

Working in partnership with the City of Moline, Moline Centre Main Street is a program of economic revitalization through historic preservation.  The Main Street "Four Point Approach" of Design, Organization, Promotion, and Economic Restructuring encompasses work that is combined to address all of the traditional downtown commercial district's needs to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.  Large or small, your project is important to us and we look forward to helping you realize your plans.  For more information or for volunteer opportunities, visit www.molinecentre.org.  For any questions, contact Pam Owens, Executive Director, at 309-524-2054.

 3. Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce

The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization and only multi-city Chamber in the region. The Chamber exists to ensure the success of its partner businesses and to continually enhance the region’s economic vitality and quality of life.  4. SCORE

This program can assist newcomers to the business world in a number of ways. The program is meant to help with developing an initial business plan, obtaining financing, and marketing procedures. They offer free business counseling in many areas including, but not limited to: Management, Engineering, and many others. Potential clients would be pared with staff that most closely parallels their needs.  5. Black Hawk College Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides confidential one-on-one, no-cost business counseling to help prospective and established business owners make sound decisions about the feasibility of starting a business and the successful operation of operating a small business. The SBDC offers low-cost training, including the Small Business Certificate Program, the Small Business Certificate Program Online, and the Smart Marketing for Your Small Business workshop series. 6. The Northwest Regional Entrepreneurship Center (NWREC)

NWREC was created by the IL. Dept. of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to assist entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs develop their businesses.  The center provides training, networking, and development services.  For more information, please visit www.nwrec.org

7. Success Network/Partners in Job Training & Placement

These agencies cooperate to offer workforce development services such as recruitment and employee testing, customized training programs, and workforce surveys to name some of the services available.  Additional information can be accessed at www.successnetwork13.com

8.Quad Cities Regional Economic Development Authority (QCREDA)

QCREDA was established by the Illinois legislature to promote economic development in Rock Island, Henry, Knox, and Mercer counties.  Among its many finance instruments, QCREDA can issue industrial revenue bonds.  These bonds are usually below prime.  Additional information regarding financing can be found at www.qcreda.com

9. Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC)

IMEC assists manufacturers meet today’s challenges.  The center provides specialists in business alignment, IT, quality, and leadership among others.  The center has provided assistance to more than 2,000 companies and works with 400 annually.  Their services cut costs and improve efficiency.  For more information, please visit www.imec1.org
