Renew Moline is a private
not for profit partnership that encourages economic
development. Although not affiliated directly with the
City of Moline, the two work closely to facilitate
economic growth in the city. Renew is dedicated to
increasing employment, visual value, and increasing
cooperation between the private sector and all forms of

Downtown Master Plan as well as work on aligning city

2. Moline Centre
Main Street
Working in partnership
with the City of Moline, Moline Centre Main Street is a
program of economic revitalization through historic
preservation. The Main Street "Four Point
Approach" of Design, Organization, Promotion, and
Economic Restructuring encompasses work that is combined
to address all of the traditional downtown commercial
district's needs to build a sustainable and complete
community revitalization effort. Large or

Commerce
The Quad Cities
Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization
and only multi-city Chamber in the region. The Chamber
exists to ensure the success of its partner businesses
and to continually enhance the region’s economic

This program can assist
newcomers to the business world in a number of ways. The
program is meant to help with developing an initial
business plan, obtaining financing, and marketing
procedures. They offer free business counseling in many
areas including, but not limited to: Management,
Engineering, and many others. Potential clients would be
pared with staff that most closely parallels their
needs. Members are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
(10:00 AM-12:00 noon) at the Quad Cities Chamber

5. Black Hawk College
Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
The Small Business
Development Center (SBDC) provides confidential
one-on-one, no-cost business counseling to help
prospective and established business owners make sound
decisions about the feasibility of starting a business
and the successful operation of operating a small
business.
The SBDC offers low-cost training, including the Small
Business Certificate Program, the Small Business
Certificate Program Online, and the Smart Marketing for

Center (NWREC)
NWREC was created by the IL. Dept. of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity to assist entrepreneurs and

These agencies cooperate to offer workforce development

Cities Regional Economic Development Authority (QCREDA)
QCREDA
was established by the
Illinois
legislature to promote economic development in
Rock Island,
Henry, Knox, and Mercer counties. Among its many
