Block Grant Administration

The City of Moline receives an annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. This federal entitlement award allows the City to utilize CDBG funds for the purpose of eliminating blight, pursuing economic development activities, and providing various forms of assistance to low and moderate-income persons. The Department of Planning and Development's Community Development Division administers the CDBG Program. For more information, contact (309) 524-2042.

The City of Moline, through the Citizens Advisory Council on Urban Policy (CACUP) and the City Council, makes available to public and private organizations grants funds for projects that serve targeted populations or have a community wide benefit. Applications for year the FY 2012 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program must be submitted to Colleen Vollman, Grant Development Coordinator, City of Moline, 619 16th Street, Moline, IL 61265. The application deadline is June 23, 2011 and all applications must be in this office by 4:30 pm. The applications must be complete including Duns & Bradstreet and Central Contractors Registration cage numbers and all required attachments. Please be advised that any application that omits the DUNS and CCR #'s will not be reviewed. Technical assistance is available by calling (309) 524-2042.
