Table of Contents

The table of contents lists what data layers are available in the web map. By default, most web maps will only display reference layers after launching them. To view thematic data such as flood zones, school district boundaries, or Alderman Wards, you will have to turn the layer on by clicking in the box that precedes the layer name. However, you still may not be able to see everything right away. Some data layers won't display until the map is zoomed in (or out) past a certain extent. Click the "+" icon that precedes each layers name. It will explain what each symbol represents on the map. If the Table of Contents is not displayed, activate it from the tool bar located above the map image. Don't forget to scroll down to see every layer that is available.
