Downtown Moline Has A New Tenant

Moline, IL – The City of Moline is pleased to announce that MetroLINK is relocating their administrative offices to downtown Moline in April. MetroLINK will relocate to the 2nd floor of the Heart of America building, 1501 – River Drive.

The relocation was necessary due to MetroLINK’s administrative staff outgrowing their existing office space at their maintenance facility at 2929 – 5th Avenue, Rock Island. While the administrative offices are relocating to Moline, MetroLINK’s bus maintenance facility operations will remain in Rock Island. No route alignments will be affected.

“The City of Moline values the integral transportation service that MetroLINK provides to the Illinois Quad Cities, and the community appreciates their decision to move their administrative offices to Moline,” said Lew Steinbrecher, City Administrator.

MetroLINK provides bus service of 11 routes that serve the Illinois Quad Cities seven days a week. Centre Station, located in downtown Moline, serves as the Quad Cities’ transportation hub for fixed route service. In addition to the metropolitan bus system, other services include Paratransit for those unable to use the fixed route system, special event transportation and the Channel Cat Water Taxi.
