I-74 Ramp Construction from 7th Avenue to Southbound I-74

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces construction work beginning October 3 on the I-74 ramp from Seventh Avenue in Moline to southbound I-74. Brandt Construction Company is the contractor for the $85,149 contract to make repairs to the ramp bridge over 19th Street.

The southbound ramp to I-74 will be closed while the north abutment wall is removed and replaced and repairs are made to the pavement. No work is scheduled for the other ramps at the Interchange. The work will be completed in approximately three weeks, and the ramp reopened to traffic. Traffic from downtown Moline will need to use the 23rd Avenue (Avenue of the Cities) interchange to go southbound on I-74.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive carefully through all construction zones.
