Prospect Park Grand Opening Event Cancelled Due to Weather Related Construction Delay

Weather problems and the recent heavy rains have caused a delay in the final Phase III construction of Moline’s Prospect Park. Due to this construction delay, the grand opening and rededication event planned for  Saturday, May 13, has been cancelled.  The park will remain closed until the construction and clean-up is complete.  The grand opening and rededication event will be rescheduled at a later date.

“We would like to thank all of the volunteers, contributors, staff, committee members, and the general public for all their assistance and input with this project,” said Milt Hand, Park Director.  “We look forward to rescheduling the rededication of the park and hope  that everyone can be in attendance.”
