Prospect Park Trail System Temporarily Closed for Repair

Efective today, the gravel walking trails at Prospect Park are temporarily closed, by authority of the Moline Park Board. The blacktop trail around the pond will remain open. Signs are posted at the closed trails. The trails are being closed for repairs and will remain closed until further notice. The Moline Park Board is in the process of evaluating different solutions and is committed to resolving the problem of erosion of the gravel trails. The $200,000 fitness trails were installed this year as part of a $1.2 million park renovation.



The remainder of Prospect Park, including the restored pavilion, pond, playground and new disc golf course remain open.
