Mayor To Deliver 2006 State of the City Address

Don Welvaert will deliver his State of the City Address
at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the
Committee-of-the-Whole meeting at City Hall Council
Chambers. City Hall is located at 619 – 16th Street. The
State of the City Address will be open to the public.
Free parking is available in Lot “Y”, located on the
North side of City Hall, as well as in the lower level
of Moline’s new downtown parking facility at 1601 – 6th
Avenue.
During his address, Mayor Welvaert will highlight the
accomplishments in 2005 and convey the city council’s
vision and goals for Moline in 2006.
Mayor Welvaert will also deliver his address at the
Illinois Quad City Chamber A.M. Network meeting at 7 am
on Wednesday, January 18 at The MARK of the Quad Cities.
The A.M. Network meeting is open to the public. Cost is
$5.00 at the door for attendees, and includes breakfast.

The Mayor will be available for interviews immediately
following the completion of the regular city council
meeting on January 24, which begins at 7:45 pm, and
following the Chamber A.M. Network meeting on January
18.
