Posted 04/21/09
The shovels are out, and the sixth grade students at
Jane Addams Elementary School are ready to dig in
celebration of Arbor Day. They will be planting a tree
at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 24 at their school – 3520 –
53rd Street, Moline.
City foresters will provide Jane Addams school with one
tree. The crew will come and dig the hole, partially
fill it and then have the students finish the job.
A proclamation declaring Arbor Day will be read after
the tree has been planted, and the city foresters will
provide treats for the class.
