The City of Moline will receive $2.1 million in grant
funding for its Lead Hazard Control from the U.S.
Department of Housing & Urban Development for the 2009 –
2011 period. These funds will be used to identify and
control lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately
owned rental or owner occupied housing. The program will
assist families with children under the age of six, or
expectant mothers, and is open to residents residing
within the Cities of Moline or Rock Island.
Moline’s previous Lead Hazard Control grant assisted
over 80 properties within the City of Moline over the
past two years.
