Temporary Closure of Moline’s Ralph B. Birks Bike Trail at 23rd Street –                                                   2700 Block of River Drive

The City of Moline announces a temporary closure of the Ralph B. Birks bike trail along the Mississippi River on Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 13 during the hours of 8 am – 3 pm. The trail will be closed from 23rd Street to the 2700 Block of River Drive (near the Celebration Belle). One lane of River Drive will be closed to traffic in each direction during this time as well. Access to the Celebration Belle will be maintained at all times.

Pedestrians and bicyclists who use the bike trail should make plans for alternate routes on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

The closures are necessary for removal and installation of a new utility pole by MidAmerican Energy.
