The National Weather Service has predicted a Mississippi River crest of 19.1 feet on Tuesday. Flood control measures have been implemented by City of Moline crews. The following closures are now in effect due to flooding:

Moline’s River Drive
River Drive is now closed to traffic from 23rd Street to 55th Street. Motorists are directed to use 4th Avenue (Illinois Route 92) to cross Moline. Access is available to the Captain’s Table and the Celebration Belle. Old River Drive from 53rd – 55th Streets is also closed.

Ben Butterworth Parkway & Trail
Moline’s Ben Butterworth Parkway and trail are closed. Use of the parkway is discouraged for safety reasons.

Marquis Harbor
Presently, access is available to Marquis Harbor. Travel to and from the harbor by river access is not advisable due to the strong current and heavy flooding.

Rock River Flooding
Flooding on the Rock River is expected to continue. The following streets are closed and open to local residential traffic only:
• 60th Street South of Greenvalley Park
• North Shore Drive between 16th – 26th Streets
• South Shore Drive, both East and West of 27th Street

In addition, the following parks are closed due to flooding:
• Harold’s Landing, Old Greenvalley Park and Veteran’s Park

Motorists are reminded not to drive through flood waters or around barricades.
