Business Enterprise Program (BEP)

The City of Moline recognizes the importance of increasing access and opportunities for businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities in public contracts. In accordance with the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities Act (30 ILCS 575) (the “Act”), the City is committed to supporting and promoting the Business Enterprise Program (BEP), and to encouraging the participation of qualified minority, female and persons with disability owned businesses that offer goods and services that are competitively priced and that provide high quality services and performance.

The City of Moline is committed to promoting and advancing a reasonable and competitive business environment and encourages departments to actively consider qualified certified businesses owned by minorities, females and persons with disabilities for our purchasing needs. The Procurement Services strives to provide efficient and timely procurement services while elevating the awareness of BEP Certified Businesses. We are committed and welcome the participation of all qualified business, including those owned by minorities, females and/or persons with disabilities.

The City is committed to vendor diversification by ensuring that minority, female and persons with disability owned business enterprises are included in the City’s procurement process. Only Illinois Certified vendors are recognized by the City’s Business Enterprise Program; as such, the City encourages MBE/FBE/PBE to apply for certification and participate on City contracting opportunities.
