Back to Business (B2B) Grant Program

Governor Pritzker announced the Back to Business (B2B) grant program that will provide financial assistance to small businesses hit hard by the pandemic. This is a grant program for small businesses not a loan program. Below is information regarding the program:

    • If you use an ITIN for your business, you can apply as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.

  • Apply– Allies for Community Business (A4CB) who is working with DCEO for this program, will begin accepting applications on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. 
    • You won’t be able to apply until Wednesday, August 18, 2021 but you can get your documents ready now and schedule an appointment (if you need assistance) with a SBDC or Community Navigator.

    • Illinois Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs):  Illinois SBDCs provide one-on-one counseling, assistance with navigating best options for financial support programs, technical assistance with documentation requirements to prepare applications, and more.  Find your nearest SBDC HERE
      • A number of SBDCs can assist you in Spanish. If you have questions about which SBDCs can provide assistance in Spanish, please let me know.
    • Community Navigators: They provide outreach to hard-to-reach and underserved businesses to increase awareness of federal and state opportunities, provide 1-on-1 technical assistance to small businesses, and offer services in multiple languages.
