Fishing is allowed at both Riverside and Prospect ponds (ice fishing is not allowed) during open hours. A fishing license is required for all fishing in all Illinois waters, including lakes, reservoirs, rivers and streams. Licenses are not required for anglers who are under the age of 16, blind or disabled anglers, or residents on active military service. Trout are stocked in Prospect Pond every spring and fall for trout seasons. A trout stamp is required.
