The City maintains hundreds of miles of arterial and residential streets. Moline is at a latitude where extreme seasonal weather changes cause repeated freeze and thaw cycles during winter months, which speed up wear and tear on pavements and create more potholes and pavement problems.
Another part of maintaining our streets is maintaining the signage of these streets. Records are kept on each and every sign on the streets of Moline. As signs are damaged, destroyed, or stolen, new signs must be made and put into place. New signs must also be made for new neighborhoods and needs of the community.
