Bass Street Landing
|
The Plaza at Bass Street Landing offers a unique venue for outdoor events, festivals and gatherings. A raised performance stage anchors the plaza with a dramatic white canopy and two columns that are reminiscent of a riverboat’s smoke stacks. At the east end of the plaza, a fountain gateway leads visitors to a water feature with sculptures depicting children fishing in the Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn era. All along the plaza space there is outdoor seating and "string lighting" to illuminate the area at night.
More than $50 million in public and private dollars are being invested to redevelop the Bass Street Landing at the base of 17th Street along the riverfront. The development is being conducted in three phases.
Phase I
Now complete, Phase I construction included RiverStation a mixed-use riverfront development featuring retail, restaurant, office and housing space, along with the new decorate public plaza. Also complete is the connector trail linking the Great River bike path along the Mississippi River.
Bass Street Landing Plaza is available for rent for both private and special events. Bass Street Landing Rental Information. Please contact Amanda Bolt at Moline Parks and Recreation at 309.524.2427 for rental availability and information.

Phase II
Phase II construction, also complete, includes the new Stoney Creek Inn and Conference Center. The new four story riverfront hotel features 140 rooms and ten extended stay suites with kitchens. The conference center has the capacity for 450 – 500. Other Phase II improvements include completion of the access road that serves the City's water plant, improvements to 2nd Avenue intersection, sidewalk along 2nd Avenue, and completion of 17th and 18th Streets.
Phase III
The new KONE Centre Tower (formally known as Bass Street Tower) will complete Phase III of Bass Street Landing. The eight-plus story tower will rise high above the Mississippi and provide an unparalleled view of the adjacent Mississippi River and Bass Street Landing. This $50 million development will bring retail, office, and luxury living onto Moline's riverfront. The tower will be supported with a 500-vehicle multi-story parking structure. This highly anticipated development will refine the skyline and Moline's image as a modern and vibrant city.
