Alternate route for those traveling from sporting events at Green Valley Sports Complex: Please be advised that many short term and long term improvements regarding traffic flow are in progress in the area of John Deere Road and Green Valley Sports Complex.
Immediate action will be as follows:
- Traffic engineering has retrofitted the traffic signals of John Deere Road and 44th Avenue at both 60th and 70th Streets with handheld controllers.
- Timing has been increased to improve northbound flow at all four traffic lights listed above.
- All staff assigned to this area are trained on the use of these controllers and will monitor conditions and respond as necessary.
- Moline Police will be assigned to the Green Valley Sports Complex and John Deere Road area on weekends for traffic assistance as needed.
An interactive online web map will be finalized and published within the upcoming week. This map will be regularly updated with all Moline road closures, traffic detours and construction projects.
