Mayor Welvaert appoints David Parker, Jr. as the 2nd Ward Alderman to replace Rick Meredith who vacated the position on September 11, 2012. Mr. Parker is currently a Realtor with Century 21 Cornelis-Simpson Inc. and has lived with his wife, Vickie, and son, Andrew in Moline for 7 years. Mr. Parker will immediately take the seat after being sworn in at the October 9, 2012, Council meeting once the City Council has approved the appointment. “I look forward to serving the residents of the 2nd Ward in City of Moline and am excited about continuing the progress already in motion.”
