Residents may dispose of household appliances/ white goods free by calling 1.877.934.5378 to schedule a time for curbside pick-up.  Residents are allowed four units per household per year. Appliances that are accepted for pickup include: stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers.

2. How can I dispose of my household chemicals?

Household hazardous materials may be disposed of at no charge. Call the Scott Area Landfill at 563.381.1300 for an appointment and drop-off directions. For a complete list of rules and information on waste collection and disposal, view the Scott County website.

3. Where can I dispose of used tires?

Residents may dispose of used tires for free by calling, 1.877.934.5378 to schedule a time for curbside pick-up. You may also request a pick-up online by visiting the Wierkert Iron & Metal Appliance & Electronic Recycling website. Limit of ten passenger tires per household, per year.
